Jaimee Grubbs Says Sorry to Tiger’s Wife

jaimeeJaimee Grubbs tries her best to apologize to Tiger Woods‘ wife, Elin Nordegren, in an interview with Extra airing tonight and tomorrow. “I couldn’t describe how remorseful that I am to have hurt her family and her emotionally,” Jaimee says.

Jaimee, who says she was intimate with Tiger about 20 times over three years, admits, “If it wasn’t me, it was going to be other girls. I did care about him — I didn’t do it for superficial reasons. I didn’t do it to purposely hurt her.”

The 24-year-old says she wouldn’t say she and Tiger were in love.

“Love is obviously a very strong word for me to even use,” she says. “I wouldn’t necessarily say that I didn’t love him. But I couldn’t… I did never say that I did love him. I didn’t let myself get that far.”

Despite what has happened, Jaimee thinks Tiger and Elin should “try to work” out their relationship.

“He’s an amazing guy despite everything that is coming forth,” Jaimee says of the golfer who’s currently been linked to 11 women.

Tiger and Jaimee allegedly had plans to hook up even as he and Elin were due to give birth to their second child, Charlie.

If Tiger called it quits with Elin, Jaimee wouldn’t necessarily be intimate with him again.

“I can’t say that I would ever go back to him, she says. I would definitely have a relationship with him whether it was friends or just to have him in my life. But as far as going back to him emotionally like I was — I don’t know if I can put myself through that again.”

Jaimee explains that Tiger “never mentioned his wife” to her when they were together.

“I wouldn’t have pursued him if he didn’t pursue me,” she says. “I mean, when he did, I just figured he was single and I didn’t think to ask.”

Once she learned he was marries she says they were “already in a relationship.”

“I knew we had a respect between the both of us, that we cared deeply for each other and we did very much trust each other,” Jaimee says of her relationship with Tiger. “But the words were never there. Nothing about the relationship was fake that I felt.”

The number of women connected to Tiger Woods could top a dozen by week’s end, according to several sources familiar with Woods’ behavior during his frequent trips to Las Vegas.

Over the course of the weekend, Las Vegas-based Jamie Jungers, New Yorker Cori Rist and Florida-based Mindy Lawton have all been identified as having extramarital connections to Woods, bringing the total of named women up to six. According to British tabloids, Lawton might be Woods’ first mistress; the two met at a Perkins restaurant near Woods’ home where Lawton was a waitress, just two years after Woods married Elin Nordegren.

As for other women who have yet to come out, several prominent Las Vegas-based nightclub managers say that although Woods had women he had a “relationship” with, there were definitely others.

“He wasn’t one to send away someone who was interested. There was a revolving door of women with Tiger,” said one. “I can think of half a dozen off the top of my head. But if you want his business — and you do — you make sure it’s kept as discreet as possible.”

Another person who lives near Woods’ Windermere, Fla., home said that rumors of Woods’ infidelity were nothing new.

“Locally, there were always rumors of women in the community that he’d taken up with,” said the source. “You just never believed it because it seemed insane that he’d risk everything he has to sleep with women who were basically in his backyard. And with Tiger, you just didn’t want to believe it, either.”

Tiger Woods has withdrawn from the Chevron World Challenge golf tournament because of injuries suffered in a car crash near his Florida home.

Woods normally hosts the Chevron tournament each year but has said he will not compete again until 2010.

In a statement on his Web site he said his injuries had caused him to withdraw.

He wrote: "I am certain it will be an outstanding event and I'm very sorry that I can't be there."

The car crash on the weekend left Woods with cuts and bruises when his SUV slammed into a fire hydrant and a tree outside his home in an exclusive Florida golf estate.

He was later treated in hospital before being released.

Since the accident TV cameras and the media have been camped near the estate to seek details of the rumour-making incident.

Woods has already said the accident will remain a private matter which he will not be discussing with either the media or police.

The Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the actions of Woods and his wife, Elin Nordegren, before and after the accident.

Woods' wife told police after the accident that she had used a golf club to smash the back windows to help him out.

On the website, Woods said. "Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible."

(CNN) -- Florida highway patrol troopers plan to talk to pro golfer Tiger Woods on Saturday to get more information about his car crash near his home, a spokeswoman said.

Woods was treated and released from a hospital after suffering minor injuries in a car accident early Friday in his central Florida neighborhood.

State troopers had tried to speak to Woods on Friday as part of a routine car accident investigation, but his wife said he was sleeping, said Kim Miller, a spokeswoman for the Florida highway patrol.

Troopers decided they would return Saturday afternoon, Miller said

A joint statement from Woods' publicist and Health Central Hospital said the golfer was in "good condition" after the accident outside his home.

The single-vehicle accident occurred about 2:25 a.m. in Windermere, a suburb of Orlando, according to police.

Woods pulled out of his driveway in a 2009 Cadillac SUV and struck a fire hydrant, then a tree, according to an incident report from the Florida highway patrol in Orange County.

Police Chief Daniel Saylor said two Windermere police officers were the first to arrive on the scene.

"There was Tiger Woods laying on the ground in front of the vehicle with his wife over him rendering first aid," he told reporters.

"He was in and out of consciousness with lacerations to his upper and lower lip," Saylor said. "He was mumbling but didn't say anything coherent."

Woods' wife, Elin Nordegren, told the police she was inside the house when she heard the accident. She said she went outside and used a golf club to break out the rear window of the vehicle, then pulled him from the SUV.

"According to the officers, yes, she was very upset," he said in response to a question.

But, he added, "Things like this happen all the time ... I understand he's stable and he's fine."

About 10 minutes later, Orange County fire and rescue arrived and took him to Health Central Hospital, where he was treated and released, he said.

The crash remains under investigation and charges were pending, the police report said. It also noted the accident was not alcohol-related.

The SUV, which was drivable, was towed and state troopers didn't take pictures of the scene, she said.

Saylor said the vehicle's front end was damaged.

The 33-year-old golf phenomenon has won the Masters tournament and the PGA tournament each four times, and three U.S. Open Championships.

He was set to host and play the Chevron World Challenge on Monday at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California. Woods has won the tournament -- which helps raise money for Tiger Woods Foundation programs -- four times.

Woods has won six times on the PGA tour this year after returning from knee surgery.

In a post on his blog last month, Woods said he was "absolutely thrilled" about his PGA tour, adding, "This has been one of my most consistent years on the PGA tour."

Woods and his wife have two children, ages 2 and a baby born in February.

PGA star Tiger Woods has reportedly been injured in a car accident.

Woods, in Orland, Florida was near his home when the incident happened.

According to CNN, the mayor of Windermere, Florida has said that Woods, had been released from Hospital, with a CNN affiliate saying he suffered facial lacerations.

The accident happened when Wood’s car hit a fire hydrant which then led him to hit a tree as he pulled out of his driveway. Woods driving his 2009 Cadillac sport utility.

He was then taken to Health Central Hospital, although officials at the hospital did not have record of him being a patient there. Originally it had been reported that he was seriously injured.

According to the highway patrol the crash is still being investigated with charges pending, although it has been confirmed that there was no alcohol involved.

Woods, who has just returned from playing in Australia, owns a $2.4 million home ( according to Orange county records) which is situated in an exclusive subdivision of Isleworth near Orlando.

In 2008 he was the highest paid professional athlete in the world, earning some $110 million in winnings and endorsements.
